ADULT DAY PROGRAM

For Seniors with:

  • Depression or in need of socialization

  • Family respite / day away

  • Physical or health conditions

  • Alzheimer’s or dementia

Our FULL & HALF DAY programs provide:

  • Socialization, interaction, supervision

  • Personal care & meals (with special diets)  

  • Wheelchair accessible with lift devices

  • Showers and bathing assistance

  • Physical, Mental & Horticultural Therapy  

  • Music & Art Therapy

  • Low client to caregiver ratios

About our Adult Day Program

Our 9200 square foot secure facility located at 6566 Hawthorne Dr. of which the adult day program occupies 4000 square feet provides a highly stimulating and interactive environment geared towards the social, physical, mental and emotional needs of seniors in our community. The program is run in conjunction with our partners VON- Windsor Essex County which combine both private and public partnership in delivering high quality care and services. All on-site out-patient programming are supervised by highly trained and experienced professionals in the healthcare industry (Nurses, Personal Support Workers, Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Assistants) are geared at promoting overall improved health, well-being, independence of our clients and their quality of life. Our facility is wheelchair accessible and a lock down facility so we can accommodate the needs of those that are physically and cognitively impaired.    

Our program features low patient to caregiver ratios, a variety of physically and mentally stimulating programs including horticultural, music and art therapy. We also offer amenities such as:

  • continental breakfast/hot lunches/healthy snacks *special dietary requirements/provisions may be accommodated

  • showers/bathing assistance – in our spa like whirlpool air jet walk in bath tub

  • medication administration

  • in-house professional footcare

  • vital signs taken daily

  • can accommodate those who require the use of a mechanical lift for safe transfers to the shower room, toilet and or into a chair

  • early drop off/late pick up to accommodate those primary caregivers that  may have work obligations or need an extended day respite (est. 8am-6pm with ability to open earlier/close later should there be the     demand)

  • additional safety features (cameras, automatically locking doors, Wander Guard protection for those patients with advancing Alzheimer’s/Dementia)            

Who would be a great candidate to enroll in our Adult Day Program?

The program is ideal for those seniors in Windsor-Essex County who have physical or cognitive impairment and/or chronic health care needs; are in need of social, mental and physical stimulation to help with isolation and homebound tendencies; enjoy participating in a variety of activity; have care needs that exceed either by expense or time, the traditional home care being offered in our community; or have a primary caregiver in need of daytime respite.               

PROGRAM HOURS:

Monday – Friday: 8 am to 4:30 pm

1/2 Day (<4 hrs)            

Full Day (>4 hrs)

Closed weekends and statutory holidays.            

COST & FUNDING?

Our program is currently private and does not receive assistance from the government. Look into your private insurance coverage and Veteran Affairs as our program may be covered.

However, funding may be available through our partners VON Windsor Essex County who operate a government funded Adult Day Program out of our location.

Cost is typically out of pocket, and prices range from:

Half Day: $40- $65 per day depending on function, care requirements and cognitive ability.

Full Day: $65-$90 per day depending on function, care requirements and cognitive ability.

A comprehensive nursing assessment is completed at our facility prior to the enrollment of each patient into our program.
